Within the framework of the discipline “Breeding and seed production”, 12 students were sent to the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution “North Caucasian FNAC”, Mikhailovsk. Based on the results of the classes, students better mastered the varietal and hybrid composition of crops, the selection of which is carried out in the Stavropol Territory, as well as the possibility of acquiring elite seeds of new varieties of these crops, which will improve their level of training in anticipation of the defense of graduation projects.
The trip was organized by the Associate Professor of the Basic Department of General Agriculture, Plant Growing, Breeding and Seed Production named after prof. F.I. Bobryshev, Sergey Ivanovich Kapustin.
For students, leading scientists of the agrarian center conducted classes on the following topics:
1. “Cellular and genetic engineering agricultural plants” – head of the Department of Biotechnology North Caucasian FNAC - Lyubov Gavrilovna Bratkova.
2. “Selection of winter crops” – head of the Department of selection of grain crops of the North Caucasian FNAC - Sokolenko Nina Ivanovna.
3. “Breeding of perennial herbs” - senior researcher of the department of perennial grasses of the North Caucasian Federal National Research Center - Lebedeva Nadezhda Sergeevna.
4. “Seed production of field crops” – head of the Seed Department of the North Caucasian FNAC - Raush Irina Vladimirovna.
