Round table «About the Motherland, about courage, about glory»

On the eve of Victory Day in Stavropol State Agrarian University held a round table on "About the Motherland, about courage, about glory".

Together with the Dean of the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Maxim Alekseevich Mastepanenko, the Department of Philosophy and History, headed by the Head, Doctor of History, Professor Evgeny Vasilievich Tufanov again raised current issues of foreign and domestic policy of the Russian state in the middle of the last century. According to the script of the event, students touched upon some memorable events of World War II and the Great Patriotic War, remembered the occupation period in Stavropol (Voroshilovsk), as well as teachers, students and staff of Voroshilovsk Zooveterinary Institute, who at the cost of untold effort and their own lives brought the Victory Day.

The most active participation in the discussion of the round table was taken by the 1st and 2nd year students of the Electric Power Engineering faculty: Nikita Tretyakov with the report "The Battle of Stalingrad", Kirill Yasinsky with the report "Stavropol-Voroshilovsk during the occupation, Voroshilovsk Zooveterinary Institute", Ekaterina Bardakova with the report "Partisan Movement in the Stavropol Territory", Alexander Grevtsev with the report "Women during the Great Patriotic War", Magomed Nuraliev and Artem Ayrapetov with the report "Karachay-Cherkessia and Dagestan Republic during the Great Patriotic War", Yuri Zholobov with the report "Attack of the Century" (scientific supervisors of the Philosophy and History Department: Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Ivan Ivanovich Gulyak, Candidates of Historical Sciences, Associate Professors Inna Nikolaevna Karpenko and Olga Nikolaevna Shmatko).

During the event were shown archive newsreels "The Causes of the Second World War" and "The seizure of Armavir and the occupation of Stavropol-Voroshilovsk", as well as songs of the war years "Ballad of a Soldier", "About Soldiers" and "Victory" performed by students of the Faculty of Electric Power.

At the end of the round table, Associate Professor of Philosophy and History Department Vladimir Ismailovich Kurchev, who represents the generation of "Children of War" appealed to all present to remember and honor the tragic events of the war years.

The participants of the round table showed a lively interest, asked questions and participated in the discussion.
