In her report "Experience in the application of biological protection of plants in the South of Russia" she cited the results of effective use of bio-agents on various crops, which was supported by a very large number of interesting photo materials. Ekaterina Valeriyevna noted that the application of biomethods is prolonged, the effectiveness of their application can be manifested during the whole vegetation period of the crop much later after treatment and application.
The event aroused keen interest among the students, who asked a lot of questions. Junior students were interested in the manifestation of pests, the effectiveness of the proposed biological protection methods and their safety for humans and the environment. The graduates who started to write their qualification works were interested in professional questions: how long the preparation stays in the protected plant, where the biological agents go after the protective action, innovative developments in the field of safe application of plant protection agents.
The speakers responded to the questions raised. They also noted that nowadays agriculture needs highly qualified specialists of a broad profile, not just agronomists, but agronomists with good knowledge of economics, financial security and digital technologies.
The event turned out to be rich, informative and interesting.
