Athletics relay race for the prizes of the newspaper "Stavropolskaya Pravda"

The traditional athletics relay race for the prizes of the Stavropolskaya Pravda newspaper, dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, took place on the Lenin Square. The relay was first held in 1946. Since then, the tradition has not been interrupted and has attracted more and more athletics fans every year. This year, high school students and secondary specialized educational institutions, university students, military personnel of military units located on the territory of the Stavropol garrison, employees of enterprises and organizations of the city participated in the race.

The organizers of the relay race this year were: the editorial office of the newspaper "Stavropolskaya Pravda", the faculty of secondary vocational education of the SSAU represented by teachers Yulia Alexandrovna Kulanina and Anzhelika Gennadievna Alyabyeva, the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the Stavropol City Administration.

Competitions are held to develop and popularize physical culture and mass sports among the inhabitants of the city of Stavropol, as well as to perpetuate the memory of the liberators of the city of Stavropol from the Nazi invaders.

The athletes were greeted by

– Georgy Semyonovich Kolyagin - Chairman of the Stavropol City Duma;

– Vladimir Vladimirovich Belchikov - head of the committee of physical culture and sports of the administration of the city of Stavropol.

According to the results of the track and field relay race, the women's team of the Stavropol State Agrarian University took 3rd place.
