Tourist trip to Arkhyz to the places of military glory of the Great Patriotic War

The fighters of the military sports club "Rassvet" of the Stavropol State Agrarian University passed a memorable route in the mountains of Arkhyz to the places of hostilities for the passes of the Caucasus.

Mountain hikes occupy a special place among the traditional events in honor of the Great Victory Day. Tourists pass through the places of battles for the passes of the Caucasus, where fierce battles unfolded from the summer of 1942 to the autumn of 1943, the result of which was the defeat of parts of the German troops.

This year, activists of the military-sports club "Rassvet" made a hike along Arkhyz. Igor Viktorovich Lyashov, senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, head of the tourist club of SSAU, acted as a guide and instructor.

The participants of the route passed through the memorable places of the Great Patriotic War, visited the memorials of Glory dedicated to the heroes who gave their lives in the Battle for the Caucasus, and mass graves. The students also visited the Sofia glade and the Leso-Kyafar settlement.

In addition, the guys took part in the annual environmental clean-up and cleaned up the banks of the Dukka River.
