21 teams of students and undergraduates from universities of the CIS countries and Russia, including the team of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, took part in the Olympiad. The organizers of the Olympiad are the educational institution “International State Ecological Institute named after I.I. A.D. Sakharov” of the Belarusian State University is the basic organization of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States for environmental education.
Under the guidance of the assistant of the Department of Ecology and Landscape Construction, Khalikova Valeria Alekseevna, 5 students of the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture of the direction "Ecology and Nature Management" (Olga Zvereva, Irina Postnikova, Tatiana Nechitailo, Polina Bychikhina, Tatiana Orekhova) took part in the 11th International Ecological Olympiad of universities of the CIS countries in the Moscow State Institute of Power Engineering. The Olympiad was held in 2 rounds. Round 1 - theoretical, which included the team's business card, where our team provided a video where students talked about the Stavropol State Agrarian University, and completed tasks on the Moodle platform consisting of 4 blocks, including open and closed tasks. Round 2 - practical, where students defended a project in the field of environmental protection and environmental safety.
According to the results of the Olympiad in the team event, the team from the Stavropol State Agrarian University took 5th place.
The Olympiad is a support for young people in the formation of human resources in the field of ecology with integration into the international educational space, expanding the boundaries of the Olympiad movement in the field of ecology and environmental protection.
Holding the Olympiad helps students to raise their level of environmental literacy, and also gives good knowledge and skills to work in the environmental market.
