The fourth stream of the Farmer's School project has started at the Stavropol State Agrarian University

The educational project "Farmer's School" was created at the initiative of the Rosselkhozbank and is being successfully implemented at the site of the Stavropol State Agrarian University with the support of the Government of the Stavropol Territory and the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

The opening ceremony of the fourth stream of the Farmer's School project was attended by:

• Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory Sergey Alexandrovich Izmalkov,

• Director of the Stavropol regional branch of Rosselkhozbank Alexei Nikolaevich Senokosov,

• Deputy Director of the Stavropol Regional Branch of Rosselkhozbank Irina Anatolyevna Leonova,

• Acting Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Professor Valentin Sergeyevich Skripkin,

• Chairman of the Association of Peasants (Farmers) and Agricultural Cooperatives of the Stavropol Territory Vasily Dmitrievich Lopatin,

• Vice-Rector for Additional Education, Professor of SSAU Olga Mikhailovna Lisova,

• as well as representatives of companies, on the basis of which the participants of the "Farmer's School" will have an internship.

In 2020, the Stavropol Territory was one of the pioneers of the project, along with the Novosibirsk and Moscow regions, as well as Bashkortostan. Today, at the same time as we do, the project is opening in 25 more regions of Russia.

According to the results of the competitive selection, more than 40 project participants from May 23 to September 16, 2022 will again sit at their desks. They will be trained in 4 specializations:

- branch "Livestock" directions:

• "Beef cattle breeding" (keeping and breeding of animals of beef breeds), practical classes will be held at the site of LLC "Stavropol beef";

• Dairy Cattle Breeding (keeping and breeding of dairy breeds) – integrator LLC Agroalliance Invest;

• "Sheep breeding" (LLC "Stavropol farmer" GC "Damate");

- branch "Plant growing" direction:

• "Gardening" (gardens of intensive and super-intensive types). The internship will take place on the territory of Stavropol Gardens Plodoobedinenie LLC.

During the training, students study the legal aspects of the work of farms, financial business models, the basics of marketing, get acquainted with the latest agricultural technologies, learn to cooperate with large agricultural holdings. And the course ends with the defense of business projects.

As a result, everyone will receive diplomas of the established standard from the Stavropol State Agrarian University and the opportunity to participate in the competitive selection for support measures from the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
