Participation of the Stavropol State Agrarian University in conferences dedicated to the Victory Day

Stavropol State Agrarian University, as part of the celebration of the Great Victory Day, took part in two international scientific and practical conferences dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.

Scientists attended the conference "The Black Sea-Mediterranean region in the context of national interests in Russia: history, politics, culture." It took place in Sudak, the Republic of Crimea. Aspects discussed: tasks of Russian geopolitics in the Black Sea region in the context of a special military operation in Ukraine, the revival of a union state in a new ideological dimension: a symbolic resource of the Soviet Union, questions about the conceptualization of the concept of "national interests", Crimea as a "cross field" in Russia-Ukraine relations –NATO in 2014–2022

The second conference took place in Stavropol. "The battle for the Caucasus in the historical fate of the people of Russia of the USSR". In the course of the work, little-studied areas of the war period were raised, such as: the battle for the Caucasus in the historical memory of modern Russia, hot August 1942, battles for the passes of the Caucasus Range, air battles for the Kuban bridgehead, Soviet sabotage operations during the battle for the Caucasus, the significance of the battle for Caucasian oil to defeat Nazi Germany.

Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by the Department of Philosophy and History, headed by the head of the department, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Evgeny Vasilyevich Tufanov and Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Inna Nikolaevna Karpenko. In order to strengthen relations and further cooperation in the educational and scientific space, scientists from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Donetsk (DPR), Lugansk (LPR), Minsk (Belarus), Belgrade (Serbia), Vladikavkaz (RSO) took part in both working meetings -Alania), Sevastopol, Simferopol, Sudak, Yalta, Kerch (Crimea), Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Taganrog, Stavropol, Pyatigorsk, as well as Azerbaijan, Abkhazia, Georgia, Dagestan. Both meetings were held with the active support of the Russian Historical Society.
