Employees of the Federal Tax Service of Russia in Stavropol Territory took part in an educational team building for students of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance, dedicated to the digital transformation of audit and taxation. The event was held at Stavropol State Agrarian University. During the event, students made presentations. Intellectual competitions were held, where students were asked to find the correct answers to questions, guess riddles and crossword puzzles. The guys were actively involved in the marathon, enthusiastically completing tasks and bringing the coveted points to their team. As a result, the jury members determined the best teams and rewarded the most active participants with diplomas.
The organizer was Igor Yuryevich Sklyarov, Doctor of Economics, Professor, member of the Public Council at the Regional Tax Administration, and Elena Ivanovna Kostyukova, Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance. From the Federal Tax Service of Russia in Stavropol Territory, Deputy Head of the Department for Work with Taxpayers Natella Nikolaevna Balandina participated. The university lecturers helped to organize the event: Ph.D., Associate Professor Neshchadimova Tatyana Alexandrovna, Ph.D., Associate Professor Nesterenko Alexey Viktorovich, Ph.D., Associate Professor Bezdolnaya Tatyana Yurievna.
Elena Alekseevna Afonina, head of the regional Federal Tax Service of Russia in Stavropol Territory, addressed the students with a welcoming speech via video link. She spoke about the global digitalization of the economy and changes in tax administration. “Today, tax administrations are transforming into adaptive digital platforms, modern business technologies are being mastered. The priority is fast and contactless work with taxpayers who fulfill their obligations in a couple of clicks, without being distracted from their usual affairs,” E. A. Afonina noted.
According to N.N. Balandina, digitalization has become the most important vector of development for the Federal Tax Service of Russia in the last decade. “Today, the tax service is a leader in providing public services to citizens in electronic form. This is a key growth point for budget revenues, it significantly increases the efficiency of tax administration and the quality of interaction with taxpayers,” said N.N. Balandina.
Such events with young people increase financial literacy and form the awareness and tax culture of the younger generation. In turn, for the tax service, communication with young people is an opportunity to get fresh thoughts and a new, non-standard approach for positive transformations in taxation, for the birth and promotion of advanced ideas and projects.
