Stavropol Agrarian University celebrated the end of the academic year with a grandiose "Grand Final", eating thousands of portions of delicious Pyatigorsk ice cream and a festive disco. The student holiday "Summing up the results of the year" opened with a big ceremony of awarding students. Students and graduates of the university received well-deserved awards based on the results of the past academic year, during which they studied fruitfully, were engaged in scientific work, and participated in the social and cultural life of the university and the city.
The best performances were performed by the creative teams of the Stavropol Agrarian Institute: the dance group of the trio «kEp», the folk dance ensembles «BARS» and «Ekh, razdolye», the vocal studios «Muza», «Provence», «Project A» and «Argo», show projects "Experience" and "Evidence", the creative association "Those who" and the СFI team of SSAU "Those". The event was hosted by the chairman of the student trade union committee Sergei Nogin.
This year, a kind of record for eating ice cream was broken - “Kholod” treated the children to a thousand servings of free ice cream. Recall about twenty years ago, the Rector of SSAU Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev and the director of the Pyatigorsk "Kholod" came up with the idea of treating university students with free ice cream on the day of the solemn event for students at the end of the academic year. Since then, the tradition has not been interrupted, and the holiday is informally called "Ice Cream Day". The celebration ended with a disco in the open air.
