We often hear that a person has accomplished a feat. What is a feat? This is when they save from fire, or drowning from water, maybe an old man from hunger, after all, different feats. And what a great feat was accomplished by the participant of the Great Patriotic War Andrey Vasilyevich Dubinin? Very simple - he survived, having defeated fascism, and remained a real person.
Dubinin Andrei Vasilyevich was born on November 30, 1916 in the village of Ottoman of the Stavropol Territory. He was called to the front in March 1943. He began his combat career with service in the 41st Guards Separate Air Defense Division (Guards Anti-Aircraft Battery), which was part of the 6th Guards Cavalry Grodno Order of Lenin Red Banner Orders of Suvorov Kutuzov and the Red Star Division. A. Ya. Parkhomenko. In May 1943, along with other divisions of the 3rd Guards Cavalry Corps, it was transferred to the area of Staraya and Novaya Kalitva and became part of the Steppe Military District. In September, as part of the Western Front, she fought offensive battles in the Smolensk region, then took part in the liberation of the eastern regions of Belarus. For the exemplary performance of the combat missions of the command and the valor and courage shown at the same time, she was awarded the Order of Suvorov, 2nd degree in December 1943.
The division was especially successful in the Belorussian offensive operation of 1944 as part of a cavalry-mechanized group under the command of Lieutenant General N. S. Oslikovsky, which was part of the 3rd Belorussian and, from July 14, the 2nd Belorussian Front. For 36 days, the guards-cavalrymen fought 770 km and, together with other formations and units, liberated 268 settlements (including the cities of Molodechno, Lida, Grodno), destroyed over 5 thousand soldiers and officers, a large number of enemy military equipment, captured many trophies. For distinction in the battles during the liberation of the city of Grodno, the division received the honorary name "Grodno" in July 1944. In the battles on the territory of Belarus, the fighters and division commanders showed examples of bold and decisive actions. Andrei Vasilyevich bravely fought as part of the 2nd Belorussian Front during the liberation of Poland during the defeat of the enemy grouping in East Prussia. From mid-April 1945, she fought on the territory of Germany and completed her military career in the Great Patriotic War on the river. Elba, where on May 2, in the area northwest of the city of Wittenberg, she met with units of the allied American troops.
Andrei Vasilievich completed his military career on November 11, 1945 with the rank of senior lieutenant of the veterinary service. After the war, he was offered to work in our university at the Department of Epizootology as an assistant. But having “served”, as he said, a short time, Andrei Vasilyevich decided to continue his service as a veterinarian at the Bolshevik state farm in the Ipatovsky district. He spoke little about the war, more about his post-war life, but what he managed to learn from him was enough to feel the pain and horror of the war, the soldier’s great desire to survive and live on. For him, the slogan "For the Motherland, for Stalin!" helped to survive in difficult combat situations. The last years of his life, as he was remembered, he wore a military uniform even at home, but he did not remember the war.
Dubin Andrey Vasilievich was awarded the orders of the Red Banner of War, Suvorov, Kutuzov, Patriotic War II degree, Glory III degree, medals "For the capture of Koenigsberg", "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941 -1945. He was remembered as an honest, fair man who always stood up for the truth and was incapable of betraying himself or others.
