Master class "Zoohygienic requirements for keeping rabbits and biological characteristics of the body"

Keeping rabbits for residents of small settlements, as well as for summer residents who have personal garden plots, has become an easy opportunity to provide their families with such an indispensable dietary product of animal origin - which is rabbit meat. It was these animals that the master class for schoolchildren of Stavropol was dedicated to.

The lesson was held by an assistant of the basic department of private zootechnics, selection and breeding of animals Onishchenko Olga Nikolaevna.

Schoolchildren were able to learn that due to its chemical and biological properties, rabbit meat is different from beef, lamb, pork and meat of other animals. Rabbit meat has a high content of proteins and essential amino acids that are very useful for humans. Doctors recommend rabbit meat for patients with gastrointestinal diseases, metabolic disorders (diabetes mellitus), cardiovascular diseases, people suffering from food allergies, children and the elderly.

The audience also got acquainted with the zoohygienic requirements for keeping rabbits in production conditions. In practice, they were able to view and feel the structural features of the animal's body.

The master class was held as part of the implementation of the program to popularize the federal project "Professionality" in the Stavropol Territory, in accordance with the plan for conducting career guidance activities aimed at popularizing the FP "Professionality" and supporting the admission campaign of the FP "Professionality" program in the Stavropol Territory.
