Stavropol State Agrarian University summed up the VIII All-Russian competition of scientific works on the best author's research in the field of financial market "Financial market instruments for the agroindustrial complex of the region". The organizers of the competition were: the chair "Finance, credit and insurance business" of FSBEI HE "Stavropol State Agrarian University" together with FSBEI HE "Saratov State Agrarian University named after N.I. Vavilov" with the assistance of LLC "FINAM-Stavropol" and a branch of PJSC IC "Rosgosstrakh" in the Stavropol region.
Research activities of students are an integral part of the development of the basic professional educational program of higher education. Participation of students in applied research allows them to acquire the skills of independent work, its presentation for discussion and practical application.
The contest of student research works is held for the eighth time and is aimed at promotion of students' research activity, substantiation of sustainable financial development of agroindustrial complex enterprises, increase of students' interest to their chosen profession. For the first time the Contest was held in April 2015, during its existence more than 270 students from 18 regions of Russia took part in the Contest.
The competition was held in order to improve the educational process, increase the level of professional training of future specialists, development of creative abilities of students and their skills of independent research work.
Over 70 students from 8 Russian universities (Volgograd State Agrarian University, Vologda State Dairy Academy named after N. Vereshchagin and others) presented their scientific works to the judgment of the experts. N.V. Vereshchagin, N.V. Parakhin Oryol State Agrarian University, K.A. Timiryazev Russian State Agrarian University, St. Petersburg State Economic University, N.A. Vavilov Saratov State Agrarian University, North Caucasian Federal University, Stavropol State Agrarian University.
Students submitted competition papers in one of the following categories:
- The financial market and its participants;
- Credit market and its segments;
- Precious metals market;
- Insurance market;
- Agroinsurance;
- Securities Market;
- Alternative sources of financing;
- Innovations in Financial Market;
- Risk Hedging.
Contest papers were evaluated by a highly professional jury consisting of leading scientists and experts from the regions of Russia, including:

- Lyubov Butalyi - Director of LLC "FINAM-Stavropol";
- Stanislav Grigoriev, Head of LLC BROKERCREDITSERVICE supplementary office Stavropolsky;
- Anna Krasnikova - head of the service support department of the branch of PJSC IC Rosgosstrakh in the Stavropol Territory.
