Scientific and production conference dedicated to the anniversary of the graduation of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1977

Stavropol State Agrarian University over the course of its 90-year history has produced thousands of high-level specialists from its walls, who occupy high positions and make a significant contribution to the development of the agro-industrial complex not only in Stavropol, but also in Russia. Among the graduates of the university are world-famous scientists, researchers and innovators. Years later, graduates happily return to the walls of their native alma mater, recall their student years, share their experience with current students, and talk about their professional victories.

The research and production conference, dedicated to the anniversary of the graduation of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1977, began with a meeting of student friends at the main entrance to the Stavropol State Agrarian University. They walked along Studenchesky Boulevard, remembered how this part of the city was equipped 45 years ago. Then a tour of the new educational and laboratory building was organized for the graduates.

The new building has an area of more than 27 thousand square meters. A spacious assembly hall for 800 seats with an LED screen, 5 lecture halls with a capacity of 250 to 360 seats, a scientific library with a unique printed and electronic fund for a one-time work of 720 people are available for students. The guests were also shown the space for collective work - "Boiling Point". This is the first Boiling Point on the basis of an agricultural university.

The construction and commissioning of a new building is a merit and an invaluable contribution to the development of the university by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev, a graduate of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Stavropol Order of the Red Banner of Labor Agricultural Institute (now Stavropol State Agrarian University) in 1977.

After the tour, the guests of honor continued their meeting in the assembly hall. The presidium included:

– Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev – a graduate of 1977, rector of the RSAU-MAA named after K.A. Timiryazeva, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Worker of Science of the Russian Federation, Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation, Honorary Worker of Science and Technology of the Russian Federation, Honorary Worker of the Russian Agro-Industrial Complex, Honorary Citizen of the Stavropol Territory, Hero of Labor of the Stavropol Territory, Deputy of the Stavropol Regional Duma.

– Aleksey Fedorovich Lavrinenko – 1977 graduate, Russian statesman and politician, deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the VII and VIII convocations, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues.

– Vasily Nikolaevich Serdyukov – a graduate of 1977, previously head of the Veterinary Administration of the Stavropol Territory, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory, Honored Worker of Agriculture, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences.

– Vasily Petrovich Tolokonnikov – graduate of 1977, professor of the Department of Parasitology and Veterinary Sanitary Expertise, Anatomy and Pathoanatomy named after Professor S.N. Nikolsky.

– Valentin Sergeevich Skripkin – Acting Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Professor.

For graduates of 1977, the teams of the Stavropol State Agrarian University prepared creative performances. In their speeches, graduates of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine recalled their student years. Separately, each noted changes in the university. Stavropol State Agrarian University has deservedly become the flagship of the domestic agricultural education. This is the unconditional merit of Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev, under his leadership for 20 years (1999-2019) the university strengthened its positions, improved and developed. At a turning point in the national education system, the rector was able to transform the regional university and put it on a podium of universal honor and respect.

Stavropol Agrarian is the only three-time winner of the Government Prize in the field of quality in the country. Twice the university was recognized as the winner of the all-Russian competition "Russian organization of high social efficiency", with the highest award - "Grand Prix". The university has earned recognition at the international level, it is three times the winner of the prize of the European competition EFQM in the field of "Excellence". The University is the only educational institution in Russia that has achieved such recognition.

After the solemn part, the graduates of 1977 honored with a minute of silence their student friends, who are no longer there. Then, honored guests proudly sang the Anthem of Veterinarians, together with the student team of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.
