On July 26, Acting Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Professor Valentin Sergeyevich Skripkin took part in a meeting with participants and candidates for participation in the Priority 2030 program chaired by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Nikolaevich Falkov. Stavropol State Agrarian University is one of the few agricultural universities in Russia that are included in the federal program for the development of universities "Priority 2030".
The key agenda of the meeting was the issue of adjusting strategic projects, as well as the performance indicators of universities participating in the program. Valery Falkov identified the need for internal changes in the strategic projects of universities in connection with the current realities.
This autumn, the Priority 2030 Grants Council will consider the results of the implementation of strategic projects, after which a decision will be made on the status of the university in the program. Therefore, many universities will have to quickly make adjustments to their programs.
Acting Rector of SSAU Professor Valentin Sergeevich Skripkin on the compliance of the SSAU program with modern requirements: “When developing our Agroinnopolis 2030 program, we focused on a specific consumer as much as possible. Our priority is the transformation of the university into an entrepreneurial university. The agricultural drivers of the program are the biologization of agriculture, breeding, animal genomics, digitalization and advanced training for the agro-industrial complex. The goals and objectives that we set ourselves when developing our program are still relevant today.”
