Future specialists in the field of tourism are preparing for professional activities at the Faculty of Social and Cultural Service and Tourism. At Stavropol State Agrarian University, students have an opportunity to study on the material and technical base which is not like in any university in our country. All classrooms and training centers are made in accordance with international standards. In 2019, the faculty received the Certificate of the National Certified Center WorldSkills Russia in the "Hotel Administration" competency.
Stavropol State Agrarian University was visited by the Minister of Tourism and Health Resorts of the Stavropol Territory Alexander Mikhailovich Sysoev.
The guest was welcomed by Vice-Rector for Additional Education, Professor Olga M. Lisova and Dean of the Faculty of Social and Cultural Service and Tourism Anna G. Ivolga.
During the visit, Alexander Mikhailovich assessed the material and technical base of the Faculty of Social and Cultural Service and Tourism. The main topic of the dialogue was the cooperation between the university and the ministry in the framework of training highly qualified personnel for the tourism industry, hospitality, sanatorium and resort complex and excursion activities.
They discussed the possibilities of additional professional training of personnel in the tourism industry, including in the territory of the sanatorium and resort areas of the Stavropol Territory.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister told the Acting Rector of SSAU, Professor Valentin Sergeevich Skripkin about the urgent tasks of developing the country's domestic tourism, new national and regional projects, noted the importance of the participation of university specialists in these areas.
