From August 31 to September 2 the Russian Znanie Society will hold a new federal educational marathon "Znanie". Over the three days the audience will enjoy speeches by more than 200 prominent lecturers - statesmen, business leaders, scientists and science popularizers, media industry specialists, over 120 hours of educational content, as well as lectures in new formats, the premiere of educational performance and much more. For the first time, registration for the marathon will be open to all comers - the listeners will be selected based on the results of a creative contest.
The Education Marathon will be held at studios in five cities, each covering a specific topic. Achievements of science, culture, engineering, technological and scientific discoveries, as well as the richest historical and cultural heritage, natural riches of the country and everything that makes up the heritage of Russia and the world will be discussed by the mentors and the youth audience of the marathon.
n Moscow, the studio's work at the Zaryadye Concert Hall will be dedicated to the theme "Knowledge. Power", which will demonstrate that it is thanks to knowledge that a person is able to solve any tasks, achieve success and realize dreams. The leitmotif of the site in St. Petersburg will be the theme "Knowledge. Made in Russia", which will illustrate the scale of intellectual, creative and technological potential of Russia to create new products, as well as introduce young people to the latest solutions in the field of import substitution. The platform "Knowledge. Heritage of Russia" platform in Nizhny Novgorod will acquaint the audience with a lot of cultural, scientific and technical discoveries, which are the subject of national pride of the Russians.
The marathon program will include a track "Knowledge. Ecology" - it will present the educational program of the "Knowledge" platform at the All-Russian Youth Environmental Forum "Ecosystem" in Kamchatka Krai, which will demonstrate the benefits of a conscious lifestyle, as well as disclose the actual tools for taking care of the environment.
For the first time one of the tracks of the marathon - "Knowledge. We are together" - will be organized at the site in Lugansk in the Luhansk People's Republic: through the prism of lectures and interviews on the topic of cultural diversity, the unique traditions of different peoples, common values, it will allow all listeners to feel what truly unites us.

The innovation of the upcoming marathon will be an open registration for the listeners. To participate in the first three marathons "Knowledge" were invited kids who by that time had already managed to prove themselves in various All-Russian competitions and competitions. This time, especially for all those who are ready to demonstrate their knowledge and talents to attend the marathon, but have not yet had time to do so, "Znanie" has launched a special creative contest. The rules are simple: you need to publish a post in the social network VKontakte with an interesting fact about Russia - its history, science, technology, art, ecology, the regions of Russia or features of national culture. The format of the post can be anything: text, picture, photo, or video. In the post it is necessary to mark the account @znanierussia and put the hashtags #ShareKnowledge and #MarathonKnowledge. To participate in the contest, you must register on the website https://marathon.znanierussia.ru, attaching to the registration form a link to the publication of the creative assignment. The winners will be selected by the competition's expert council and will be guests of the marathon studio in Moscow.
"The Federal Enlightenment Marathon "Znanie" will be held for the fourth time, and as always, the program will be rich - both in terms of formats and content, - said Maxim Dreval, General Director of the Russian Society "Znanie". - Reliable knowledge is one of the fundamental values of modern society, so with each new event we try to make it even more accessible to everyone. For example, we are now doing a lot of work to organize broadcasts on the grounds of educational institutions and on city screens throughout Russia. And I'm glad that even more talented kids will get this chance by taking part in the creative competition.
From September 1st to 9th the "Share your knowledge" campaign will take place. Within its framework lecturers of the "Znanie" Society, representatives of public organizations, state officials, governors and heads of major Russian corporations will visit Russian schools and universities and will also give public lectures. On September 2 as part of the marathon there will be a premiere of the educational performance "Difficult Exam" - the winner of the All-Russian contest "Knowledge. Theater" contest. Russian “Znanie” Society dates back to the Soviet public organization founded in 1947 on the initiative of representatives of the Soviet intelligentsia as the "All-Union Society for the dissemination of political and scientific knowledge" (since 1963 - All-Union Znanie Society, since 1991 - Znanie Rossii Society).
