At the Faculty of Economics and Accounting and Finance of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, a meeting of scientists with the staff of the Kuban State Agrarian University was held, at which issues of sustainable development of rural areas were discussed. Colleagues got acquainted with the material and technical base and capabilities of the educational and research laboratories of the faculties.
The delegation of guests was headed by the head of the department for the implementation of the project "Welfare of rural areas" - Maria Vladimirovna Zelinskaya. Representatives of structural subdivisions of KubSAU also arrived in Stavropol from the Kuban capital: Head of the Department of Economic Theory of KubSAU - Elena Igorevna Artemova, Professor of the Department of Management - Elena Nikolaevna Klochko, Specialist of the Department for the implementation of the project "Welfare of Rural Territories" - Igor Petrovich Pershukevich.
Alexey Nikolaevich Bobryshev, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Doctor of Economics, Professor, spoke about the implementation of research projects within the framework of the University Development Program "Agroinnopolis - 2030". The problem of updating the quality of life standards in rural areas was revealed by Doctor of Economics, Professor Alexei Nikolaevich Gerasimov, and Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Sergei Ivanovich Lugovskoy examined the structure of the digital profile of rural areas of the Stavropol Territory.
All the participants of the meeting took an active part in condemning the considered problems, talking about the peculiarities of rural development in the Krasnodar Territory
As a result of the meeting, promising areas for cooperation between scientists from two leading agricultural universities in the South of Russia on the issues of methodology and practical implementation of research on sustainable development of rural areas were identified.
