The International Scientific and Practical Conference “Biotechnology: Science and Practice” has been held annually since 2013. The purpose of the conference is to increase the level of information exchange and expand the methods and tools for scientific interaction and information exchange within the scientific community of biotechnologists and representatives of related disciplines, as well as between research organizations, higher professional education organizations and industrial biotechnological enterprises.
The 10th Anniversary International Scientific and Practical Conference "Biotechnology: Science and Practice" was attended by teachers of the Stavropol State Agrarian University: Professor Olga Vladimirovna Sycheva and Associate Professors Irina Alexandrovna Trubina and Elena Alexandrovna Skorbina. At the section "Food biotechnology" SSAU scientists presented a report: "Innovations in butter technology", which was prepared based on the results of scientific research carried out as part of the program of strategic academic leadership "Priority 2030".
Within the framework of the conference, a meeting of the federal Academic Methodological Association in the higher education system was held on an enlarged group of specialties and areas of training 19.00.00 "Industrial ecology and biotechnology", which was also attended by Professor Olga Vladimirovna Sycheva - head of the training area 19.04.03 "Food of animal origin" and associate professor Irina Alexandrovna Trubina – head of training area 19.03.04 "Product technology and organization of public catering".

The conference was attended by about 90 people from 19 cities of the Russian Federation, representing various research institutes and universities. As a result of the conference, a resolution was adopted aimed at further development of this direction.
The conference creates a platform for young scientists to get acquainted with new methods and research results of their colleagues, gain experience in public speaking, improve the level of education of a new generation of researchers in general and particular issues of various branches of biotechnology. As part of the conference, it is planned to hold a regular meeting of the Federal Educational and Methodological Association in the Higher Education System for an enlarged group of specialties and areas of training area 19.00.00 "Industrial Ecology and Biotechnology".
