Professional competencies in practice - approaches to public financial management

At the Faculty of Accounting and Finance, a field practice-oriented lesson was held for students of the profile "Finance and Credit" and the specialty "Economic Security". The lesson was held at the Federal Treasury for the Stavropol Territory. Students were provided with information about the main powers of the Federal Treasury and its territorial bodies, functions and tasks of the treasury system. The Head of the Expenses Department, Demina Elena Yuryevna, spoke in detail about the work of her department, as well as the functions of controlling the spending of targeted funds and the procedure for authorizing transactions carried out by the clients of the Department.

Marina Nikolaevna Denshchik, Assistant Head of the Department of the Federal Treasury for the Stavropol Territory, conducted an introductory tour of the Department building for students.

During the event, the students visited the museum of the history of the Federal Treasury Administration for the Stavropol Territory. Raisa Andreevna Zhiltsova told the children about the history of the development of the Department and the people who stood at its origins. Raisa Andreevna herself headed the Department of the Federal Treasury for the Stavropol Territory from 2001 to 2010. The museum clearly demonstrates exhibits and highlights the most significant stages in the formation and development of the Treasury of Russia in general and the Department in particular.

Marina Nikolaevna spoke about the work of the youth council of the UFC in the Stavropol Territory and noted that they are always glad to see young and active guys joining the ranks of the council. Students were invited to the UFC in the Stavropol Territory for an internship, with the possibility of subsequent employment.

Currently, graduates of the Stavropol State Agrarian University are successfully working in the Office of the Federal Treasury for the Stavropol Territory, including:

Sofya Ilyinichna Shmakova as Treasurer of the Revenue Department (graduate of the Master's program "Corporate and Public Finance");

Anna Konstantinovna Nemirovchenko as a senior treasurer of the department of cash services for the execution of budgets (graduate of the specialty "Accounting, analysis and audit");

Victor Ivanovich Mikhonenko as an inspector-clerk of the department of cash services for the execution of budgets (graduate of the specialty "Economic security").

The event turned out to be very interesting, the students became interested in the work of the Office and thanked its staff for the event.

The initiators of the practical lesson were the teachers of the department "Finance, credit and insurance business" - Ph.D., Head of the Department Irina Ivanovna Glotova and Ph.D., Associate Professor Raisa Ilyinichna Safiullaeva.
