SSAU will prepare specialists for the Federal State Statistics Service

The Stavropol State Agrarian University and the Department of the Federal State Statistics Service in the North Caucasus Federal District have signed an agreement to establish a basic department at the university to train specialists for the needs of the North Caucasus State Statistics Service.

- Together with the North Caucasus State Statistics Service we have developed a road map for the development of research and information interaction. We have signed a long-term agreement on cooperation, first it concerns the training of specialists for the Federal State Statistics Service and the development of human resources, - explained the content of the signed document, Professor Elena Kostyukova, Dean of the Accounting and Finance Faculty.

The signing took place on November 2 within the walls of SSAU at the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Social and Economic Development of the Constituent Entities of Russia in Modern Conditions" held at the university.

- SSAU has been cooperating with the management of the federal service of state statistics in the North Caucasian Federal District since 2012. Considering the needs of the North Caucasusstat, we have adjusted our research work to the needs of our partner. The quintessence of joint work was the signing of an agreement on the creation of a basic department. Now our students will receive new competencies for which there is a real demand. In today's difficult conditions for the country, it is very important to have objective statistical data to assess the economic situation and to make quality forecasts," Vladimir Sitnikov, Acting Rector of St. Petersburg State Agrarian University, stressed the importance of statistical data for economic management.
