Pedigree dairy cattle breeding is one of the most important priorities in the development of the gene pool of domestic dairy cattle breeds. The need to develop a consolidated approach to assessing the breeding value of dairy cattle has been repeatedly emphasized by representatives of various member States of the Eurasian Economic Union. One of the priorities is to create a single trading space for the exchange of tribal genetic resources within the states: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
The meeting was attended by Sergey Oleinik, Professor of the Department of Private Animal Science, Breeding and Breeding of Animals of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.
The main topic for discussion is the Action Plan aimed at the implementation by the EAEU member states of generally recognized recommendations and methods of the International Committee on Animal Accounting (ICAR) in the field of livestock breeding.
The participation of Stavropol State Agrarian University in the work of the international body of the Eurasian Economic Commission underlines the special value of scientific developments of scientists of the Faculty of Biotechnology. International work opens up prospects for the SSAU to reach the world level in cooperation and exchange of scientific achievements, both between scientific and state bodies of different EAEU member states, and business structures in the field of livestock breeding. This is one of the indicators of the implementation of the university development program "Priority - 2030".
