The Department of Philosophy and History held an interregional scientific and practical conference "Culture as a Substance in the Process of Reforming and Modernizing Russia" in honor of World Philosophy Day.
The conference was attended by postgraduate students in philosophy, as well as Doctors of Philosophy, Professors Elena Sergodeeva, Olga Kashirina and representatives of other universities: Andrey Lezhebokov, Doctor of Sociology from NCFU, and Svetlana Kovaleva, Doctor of Philosophy of the Kostroma State Agricultural Academy. The organizer of the event, Nikolay Guzynin, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy and History, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, made a report on the fundamental role of culture in the development of Russian civilization. Actual problems of legal culture and dialogue in modern Russia were also considered.
