First-year students of all faculties took part in the financial literacy board game “Money does not buy happiness” as part of the “Financial Healthy Lifestyle Fest-2022. Marathon of healthy financial habits.
The event is aimed at attracting the attention of students to the issues of reasonable financial behavior, responsible attitude to personal finances and increasing the level of financial literacy of the population.
Participants acquired useful financial habits, learned how to assess the risks associated with purchases and the use of various financial services, and gained skills in planning their budget. The volunteers of the Financier interuniversity team, formed on the basis of Stavropol Agrarian University, helped to understand the rules of the game and difficult economic issues.
The first place was taken by the team of the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture, the second place was taken by the students of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance, the third place went to the Faculty of Electrical Power Engineering.
– Financial literacy is necessary knowledge and skills in the modern world. This should be taught at school in order to form a responsible attitude to personal, family and state finances, - says Vitaly Viktorovich Koshelev, Chief Economist of the Southern Main Department of the Bank of Russia.
– During the game, I learned a lot about finance and now I can apply this knowledge in life. Such information is very necessary for everyone who has just started an independent life - a participant in the game from the electrical power department.
