Foreign students studied the flavor of Russian dialects in the cities of the Caucasian Spas

Students of the additional program for foreigners on the study of the Russian language of Stavropol State Agrarian University took part in an on-site lesson, combining the study of Russian dialects and an excursion to the Caucasian Spas.

Stavropol State Agrarian University won this year the grant competition of the Ministry of Education of Russia for the promotion of the Russian language. The first group started training this autumn.

The on-site lesson was held in Pyatigorsk, within the framework of the additional general educational program Treasures of the North Caucasus: Caucasian Spas. 11 foreign listeners took part.

- The main goal of the program is, of course, to involve foreigners not only in the study of the Russian language, but also in our culture. Russia is so multifaceted that it is a pleasure to study it. The educational process touched on many topics that are especially interesting to study in the Stavropol Territory - this is agriculture, and the unique nature of the Caucasian Spas, and the flavor of the peoples living in the North Caucasus, - said Olga Lisova, director of the Institute of Additional Professional Education, SSAU.

During the educational trip, the group visited the famous natural monument - Proval, Flower Garden Park, the Central Drinking Gallery, the Pyatigorsk Museum of Local Lore, the site of the duel of M.Yu. Lermontov.

The listeners were accompanied by: Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages Svetlana Alexandrovna Mikhienko, Leading Specialist Nikolay Vladislavovich Uryadov, Leading Specialist in Educational Work Ahmed Hammam, Administrator of the IAPE Matlab Sevindik oglu Jafarov.

The project of our university is connected with the uniqueness of the region in which we live. The Russian language in the North Caucasus has its own history and features. Therefore, the goal of the project is not only to teach the norms of the Russian language, but also to popularize the Russian language based on the culture and traditions of the peoples of our region.
