Students of Stavropol State Agrarian University wrote the All-Russian dictation in English

140 SSAU students took part in the All-Russian dictation in English.

Students from different faculties and courses gathered at the Boiling Point to show their knowledge of the English language. Foreign students from the preparatory faculty also took part in the dictation. The organizers and experts of the dictation were employees of the Department of Foreign Languages.

The main goals of the event are to motivate students to study foreign languages, improve literacy and the level of proficiency in the language norms of the English language. Last year, the dictation brought together more than 26,000 students from 75 regions of Russia and 8 countries - Denmark, Serbia, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

- This year the dictation lasted about half an hour and consisted of 300-400 words. I am sure that this is a wonderful exercise for improving spelling, developing language guessing, indirectly developing listening skills, etc. The results will be known after December 21; we will definitely inform all participants. The winners and prize-winners will receive electronic diplomas, and all the rest - electronic certificates of participation - said Olga Chudnova, head of the Department of Foreign Languages, SSAU.
