The Stavropol State Agrarian University hosted the third graduation of students of the regional program "The first profession of a schoolchild in the Stavropol Territory". The participants took advantage of a unique opportunity to master their first specialty while still studying at school and receive certificates in their profession.

The "First Profession" program is implemented within the framework of the national project "Education" and aims to increase the competitive advantages of schoolchildren, as well as the educational and professional potential of the population. Schoolchildren of the Stavropol Territory aged 14-17 tried their hand at mastering professional knowledge and skills, gained practical experience that will help them make the right choice for their future profession.

Training centers were located not only in the Stavropol State Agrarian University, but also in many educational institutions of the region. Students of grades 8-11 in the shortest possible time - in 3 months - without interruption from school, mastered the vocational training program, passed the qualifying exam and today receive a document - a certificate in the profession.

Education of schoolchildren of general educational institutions of the region was carried out according to the following programs of vocational training:

· Operator of electronic computers and computing machines

· Electrician-schemer

· Operator of technological equipment in protected ground structures

· Housemaid

· Mechanic for the repair of agricultural machinery and equipment

· animal veterinary operator

· Gardener

· Mason

· Cook

· Confectioner

· Consultant in the field of development of digital literacy of the population (digital curator)

“I learned how to apply 5 different types of stitches and 4 types of bandages. I really enjoyed the practical lessons. It was interesting, the speakers explained everything in a clear and understandable way. I advise those who want to try themselves as a veterinarian to take these courses,” - Zlata Sishko, a participant in the project in the direction of "Operator for veterinary treatment of animals", a student of gymnasium No. 13 in the city of Stavropol.

The main regional operator of the project "The first profession of a student in the Stavropol Territory" is the Center for Advanced Vocational Training of the Territory, which operates on the basis of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. The educational processes implemented by the Center are supervised by the head of the center Yulia Gunko: “This year we have such a good harvest, 1100 schoolchildren in the region received their first profession. Don't stop developing. In our time, it is very important to have many competencies that you can use in the future.”

Profession certificates were handed over to schoolchildren by the vice-rector for additional education of the university, professor Olga Lisova: “We are finishing the year, and our university has such a kind and warm tradition - it is obligatory to honor graduates. You are our special group of graduates: the youngest, the youngest, we have never had anyone younger than you. This is a truly unique project in the Stavropol Territory.”
