Professor of the Basic Department of Private Animal Science, Selection and Breeding of Animals Sergey Oleinik took part in the international meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission on the consideration of the methodology for assessing the breeding value of cattle in the EAEU member states.
The international meeting was devoted to the implementation of ICAR standards in the legal documents of the EAEU countries. From the Russian side, the meeting, together with experts from the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Republics of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, from the Russian side, was attended by 5 representatives of the FGBNU VNIIPlem and Professor of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Sergey Oleinik.
The participation of scientists from the Stavropol State Agrarian University in the Working Group of the Department of Agro-Industrial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission from the Russian side in the direction of "Pedigree Livestock" will allow scientists of our university to take a more active part in implementing the results of research work obtained during the implementation of the "Priority - 2030" program at the international level - said Sergey Oleinik.
For reference: the tasks of the SSAU Strategic Project "Intensification of the development of the livestock industry in the Stavropol Territory (animal genomics and biotechnology) within the framework of the Priority 2030 program include the development and implementation of innovative approaches to the management of highly productive genetic resources in dairy cattle breeding, taking into account the methodology of the International Registration Committee animals (ICAR).
