At the Employment Center, students got acquainted with the situation on the regional labor market

Students of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance together with the Center for Employment and Career Development of SSAU visited the project office of the Center for Employment of the Population of Stavropol, where they took part in group work on social adaptation in the labor market.

During the event, students got acquainted with the list of popular and promising professions in the regional labor market. The professions of an accountant, manager and financier are the most relevant now. Also, the children were told about the programs and services of the employment service, the vacancies available in the database for the profile of the university and about ways to find a job. Students were informed about the possibility of selecting vacancies through the Jobs in Russia portal, which is the federal state information system of the Federal Service for Labor and Employment. The head of the department for the integration of citizens into the professional working environment Eremina Olesya Nikolaevna spoke about the main activities of the Center for Employment of the Population:

• reception of citizens, consideration and analysis of their appeals;

• registration of citizens to assist them in finding suitable jobs;

• provision of free consulting assistance;

• informing the population about the situation on the labor market;

• vocational guidance of citizens in order to choose a field of activity, their employment and vocational training;

- The main problem that hinders the effective employment of graduates is the lack of close communication between the main subjects of this process: the educational institution, the employment service as a coordinator of supply and demand, and employers. The employment service, as the main intermediary between labor resources and employers, should solve this problem and ensure a “meeting” between a young specialist and an employer. Since young people are a vulnerable social group, their employment should be one of the priorities in the activities of employment services, - said Deputy Dean for Educational Work of the Accounting and Finance Faculty, Associate Professor Victoria Germanova.

“The most useful thing we learned for me was the skill of writing a resume. Very soon we will graduate from the university and start looking for a job, and a well-written resume will be a good helper in this.
