From Asia to Africa: SSAU Students Defended Works on the World Economy

Students of the Department of Entrepreneurship and World Economy successfully defended their papers on the topic "Promotion of export projects to foreign markets in Asia and Africa."

The students were tasked with identifying trends in the development of the global product market, presenting a description of the potential world market in Asia and Africa within the framework of the products under study, studying competitors in Russia and abroad, and also establishing political and legal instruments and restrictions. In addition, the guys prepared advertising booklets to popularize their products in the foreign market. Wheat, corn, sunflower oil, coriander, seeds for planting crops and sugar were recommended as exported agricultural products.

Teachers of the Department of Entrepreneurship and the World Economy listened to and appreciated the professionalism of students in the preparation of projects aimed at promoting of agricultural products for export to Asia and Africa. The experts were the teachers of the department: Natalia Vorobieva, Natalia Telnova, Tatiana Kostyuchenko.

- Of course, the development of projects is based on special disciplines of the training profile, such as "World Economy and International Economic Relations", "International Marketing", "Organization and Management of Foreign Economic Activity", "International Trade", the study of which allows using the skills of analyzing trends in the development of the world economics, research of the conjuncture and price movements in world markets, knowledge of new forms of foreign economic activity and international settlements, and more. The cognitive process is always effective when project work is used, therefore, in order to deeply study one's future profession, this particular teaching method was used, the results of which were evaluated by the competition commission. Students showed high professional competence, mobility and motivation to achieve their goals. We also emphasized the ability to think outside the box and prove one's point of view,” commented Natalia Vorobyeva, Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Entrepreneurship and the World Economy.

Students gained experience in the development of presentation materials, which allows them to use it in their future professional activities. The demonstrated creative projects were appreciated, and all the guys were declared winners. Some projects were sent to the competition and were deservedly awarded diplomas of the first degree.
