Cooking a festive table for Chinese New Year

On the eve of the Chinese New Year, a new episode of the Tasty Meeting program for the Russia-1 TV channel was filmed at the Faculty of Social and Cultural Services and Tourism. The guest of the TV show was the Chinese language teacher at SSAU Li Yan.

During filming, Chinese teacher Li Yan shared recipes for two Chinese dishes: smashed cucumbers with chili peppers and spices and fried beef with onions. The teacher spoke about the traditions of celebrating the Chinese New Year in China, taught the host of the program several Chinese words, and, of course, spoke about the Chinese language courses at our university.

The Stavropol State Agrarian University has the only Chinese language school in the Caucasus, where everyone can study with native speakers based on the program of the Confucius School. Last November, she launched a free online project that allowed her to learn Chinese characters, learn the basic rules of grammar and phonetics, and immerse herself in the culture of the Chinese village in a month. This year, it is planned to open online courses for residents of other cities and regions of Russia.

Vladimir Sitnikov, rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, took part in one of the past episodes of the Tasty Meeting program. He told how to cook the perfect grilled steak and salad with burrata cheese.
