SSAU employee took part in a round table in the Stavropol City Duma

On January 26, a round table was held in the Stavropol City Duma to discuss the state and development of the volunteer movement in the city of Stavropol. The head of the department of educational activities and support of student initiatives of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Yana Avakyan took part in its work.

Stavropol occupies a leading position in terms of the number of volunteers in the region. Much attention is paid to the development of the volunteer movement. The round table was devoted to the problems of the state and development of the volunteer movement in the city.

- At the round table, the prospects for development and measures to support volunteer associations of the city, including volunteer teams operating on the basis of educational organizations of higher education, were discussed. Plans were made to inform the residents of the city of Stavropol about the existing areas of volunteerism and the possibility of including caring citizens in volunteering, - Head of the Department of Educational Activities and Support for Student Initiatives of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Yana Avakyan.

In the Stavropol State Agrarian University, work on the development of volunteering has been singled out as one of the priority areas. The university has created a multi-level system that uses innovative approaches in the implementation of university, regional and all-Russian projects and events.

In 2022, the main volunteering events were held at the university as part of the implementation of the Action Plan for the implementation of the Concept for promoting the development of volunteering in the Russian Federation.

Since 2017, the Headquarters of SSAU Volunteer Detachments has been created and successfully operates in the Stavropol State Agrarian University, which last year included 3 volunteer detachments: "Volunteer", "Care" and "Flame". More than 250 students became members of the Headquarters in 2022.

Every year since 2017, the educational project "School of Volunteering" has been implemented within the walls of the university, aimed at developing volunteering (volunteering) among students. In 2022, the project attracted 340 participants and organizers. Within the framework of the project, 10 master classes were held in the main areas of volunteering from trainers of practitioners with volunteer experience. As a result of the project, the participants developed socially significant initiatives in the following areas: social, educational, patriotic, environmental, promotion of healthy lifestyles, events.
