Stavropol State Agrarian University hosted a scientific and practical conference "Biologized import substitution technologies in crop production in Stavropol region"

Scientists and representatives of research centers and agrarian business, managers and specialists of agricultural enterprises, heads of farms and, of course, students of Stavropol State Agrarian University gathered at the Entrepreneurial Boiling Point of SSAU at the conference "Biologized import substitution technologies in crop production in Stavropol region."

Dean of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources and the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Esaulko spoke at the conference. He spoke about the expansion of research opportunities at the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources and the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture as part of the implementation of the Priority 2030 program.

Head of the basic department of general agriculture, crop production, selection and seed production named after professor F.I. Bobryshev, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Olga Vlasova made a presentation on the topic of biologization of agriculture as the basis for sustainable agricultural production and conservation of soil fertility.

The following spoke about the trends in the agro-industrial complex in the context of import substitution, the main directions of biologization of crop production in the North Caucasus Federal District, the phytosanitary state of crops, reducing costs and increasing crop yields, drones in the service of agriculture:

Olga Kuznetsova - Deputy Director of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Rosselkhoztsentr" for Stavropol region;

Lidia Dyleva - Director of Yug-Ros-Bio LLC, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences;

Amiran Zanilov - senior researcher at KBSU, candidate of biological sciences;

Vladimir Kharchenko - director of Southern Region LLC;

Natalya Sazonova - head of the non-profit partnership "Discrete-innovative cluster of small aircraft";

Rasul Gadzhiumarov - Head of the Laboratory of Cultivation Technologies of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution "North Caucasian FNAC", Candidate of Agricultural Sciences.

Nikita Balyshev, Leading Researcher of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture (St. Petersburg), and Irina Grekhova, Director of the Evrika Research and Production Center, Doctor of Biological Sciences (Tyumen), spoke via video link.

Within the framework of the conference, an exhibition of domestic organizations of the agro-industrial complex engaged in the production and sale of biological products was organized. The organizations presented their products and services offered, and also invited students of the faculty for practical training with possible further employment.

The scientific and practical conference was the beginning of a series of events dedicated to the week of science at Stavropol State Agrarian University. Holding such meetings of the minds of science and industry contributes to the mutual exchange of knowledge between representatives of the university and employees of agricultural enterprises. Scientific conferences and exhibitions help to acquaint students with their future profession, develop the necessary competencies and provide an opportunity to determine the place of further work.
