Chinese New Year at Stavropol State Agrarian University

In the Boiling Point, SSAU celebrated the Chinese New Year in the best traditions. An open Chinese lesson and traditional master classes were held for young students of the Confucius School.

The only Chinese language school "Confucius" in the Caucasus has been operating in SSAU for two months. Two groups of young Stavropol residents have already become its students. Some of the children do not go to school yet, but already know the basics of the Chinese language and can write hieroglyphs.

Director of the Confucius School Huang Kexian and teachers Li Yixuan, Zhang Huiyu, Zhou Menun held an open Chinese lesson and several workshops on paper cutting, calligraphy, tea ceremony, dancing and Taijiquan gymnastics.

All guests of the event in honor of the Chinese New Year took part in the drawing of gifts - free classes at the Confucius School, as well as discount certificates.

Li Yan, a Chinese language teacher at SSAU, spoke about the traditions of celebrating the Chinese New Year in China and shared recipes for two traditional dishes in the Tasty Meeting program.
