Within the framework of the week of science at the Faculty of Socio-Cultural Service and Tourism, a round table "Friendly Programs in Tourism and Hospitality" was held. During the event, students learned how to create a comfortable environment for tourists from China, Southeast Asia and the Pacific region to stay in Russia.
According to experts, the People's Republic of China and Muslim tourists from the countries of Southeast Asia and the Pacific region have the largest tourist resource today. "Halal friendly" and "China friendly" are programs to create a comfortable environment for Muslim and Chinese tourists in order to promote Russian tourism products on the international market and increase tourism business revenues. Compliance of services and products with all necessary norms and technical requirements of "friendly" standards is important for increasing the tourist flow and forming the "Rural Hospitality" program in Stavropol Territory.
- The event contributes to the formation of professional competencies of social interaction among future hospitality specialists, - noted acting Dean of the Faculty of Social and Cultural Service and Tourism, Head of the Department of Tourism and Service, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Anna Ivolga.
The round table was attended by 3rd year students of the faculty of secondary vocational education in the direction of training "Hospitality" and students of the 2nd and 3rd year of the faculty of socio-cultural service and tourism in the direction of training "Tourism", "Service", "Hospitality". The experts of the “friendly” hospitality programs were Li Yan, a teacher at the Confucius Chinese Language School, and Zuleikha Talybova, a teacher at the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education.
