On the Day of Russian Science young scientists of SSAU were welcomed with awards

On the day of Russian science — a holiday of academicians, scientists, professors and students — those who see their life in science were honored at Stavropol State Agrarian University. The university hosted a solemn award ceremony for young scientists.

Acting Rector Vladimir Sitnikov awarded diplomas and gifts to the scientific communities of the faculties - participants of the SSAU Grant in the field of science and innovation, as well as the winners of the competition for increased scholarships for graduate students.

At the initiative of Acting Rector Vladimir Sitnikov, five graduate students of the university were awarded an additional scholarship for achievements in research activities. The amount of financial incentives will be 15 thousand rubles per month until the end of 2023. In addition, 9 students and graduate students of the university became owners of Stavropol State Agrarian University grant in the field of science and innovation in the amount of 60 thousand rubles. Also, members of the scientific communities of the university received modern all-in-one machines for scientific activities from the hands of the rector.

– Today, our scientific family is very powerfully represented at the university. We have a thousand members of scientific societies, 105 graduate students, 355 candidates of science. This is the foundation of our university, this is our future. Most importantly, we are reevaluating: the dimensions of science today are not in money, not in resources, not in laboratories, but in scientists. Without undue modesty, I can say that you represent the future of the university, the region and our country, that’s for sure,” Vladimir Sitnikov addressed the members of the scientific community of the university.

Another 11 students and graduate students were awarded diplomas of participants in the grant program of Stavropol State Agrarian University in the field of science and innovation. The corresponding awards were presented by the head of the scientific and innovative training center, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Sergey Antonov.
