SSAU professor took part in an international conference at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation

Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance, Doctor of Economics, Head of the Department of Accounting, Professor Elena Kostyukova became a participant in the international scientific and methodological conference "Education Foresight: Revival of Traditions vs Declared Innovation". The event took place at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

The conference discussed the issues of the transformation of modern education, the necessary competencies of young professionals, the role of universities as drivers for the development of regions and the national economy.

- The new federal state standard is a single regulatory document for an enlarged group of specialties and areas, which does not contain a list of recommended professional standards. A level of competencies appears - basic competencies with the characteristics of an enlarged group of specialties and areas. The possibility of obtaining several qualifications within the framework of one educational program is declared. In connection with these changes, the Accounting and Finance and Economics faculties have a lot of work to do to revise all methodological documentation,” said the Dean of the Accounting and Finance Faculty, Doctor of Economics, Head of the Department of Accounting, Professor Elena Kostyukova.

Representatives of 150 universities from 9 countries took part in the event. The discussion platform brought together representatives of education, science and business. The speakers were Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education Sergey Kabyshev, Rector of the Russian University of Economics named after G.V. Plekhanov Ivan Lobanov, Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Economics Igor Maksimtsev, President and Chairman of the Management Board of Otkritie FC Bank PJSC Mikhail Alekseev, Deputy Director of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service Vladimir Glotov, Head of the Human Resources Management Department of the Social Fund of Russia Yulia Koryakina and others.

Based on the results of presentations at the conference, plenary session and substantive discussions, it is planned to publish a collection of scientific articles in electronic form.
