Interdisciplinary conference "Agrarian science, creativity, growth" was held at SSAU

As part of the week of science at Stavropol State Agrarian University, a plenary session of the XII International Scientific and Practical Conference "Agricultural Science, Creativity, Growth" was held: Sustainable development of the agricultural economy based on digital technologies and smart innovations. The interdisciplinary conference was organized as part of the Agroinnopolis 2030 University Development Program.

The event was organized by the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources, the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture and the Faculty of Accounting and Finance.

“Digitalization is rapidly changing the possibilities of interaction within business processes, including all participants in the agri-food system, in every possible way smoothing out the factors that hinder the increase in production efficiency. The fulfillment of these functions is the most important condition for the successful socio-economic development of Russia and ensuring its food security. The conference is designed to form a scientific concept for the sustainable development of rural areas and ensuring food security through the prism of the new realities of the digital economy,” said Dean of the Accounting and Finance Faculty, Head of the Department of Accounting, Doctor of Economics, Professor Elena Kostyukova.

The conference allows the implementation of several points developed on the basis of the "Roadmap for the implementation of strategic projects of faculties, involving the receipt of results demanded by the university, industry enterprises, authorities", including in the areas of biologization of agriculture and sustainable development of rural areas.

“Digital technologies are increasingly entering all spheres of human activity, and agriculture, a key sector of the economy for our country, is no exception. The digital transformation of agriculture is changes using digital technologies and their integration into all areas of agriculture, this is the transition from physical processes to digital ones, - said the dean of the faculty of agrobiology and land resources and the faculty of ecology and landscape architecture, doctor of agricultural sciences, professor, professor of RAS Alexander Esaulko.
