A meeting on agrarian and land issues was held in the Duma of the Stavropol Territory. Vladimir Sitnikov reported on the implementation of the Agroinopolis-2030 program at Stavropol State Agrarian University.
The Agroinnopolis-2030 program has been operating at Stavropol State Agrarian University since 2021. It is aimed at increasing the prestige of agricultural professions and popularizing the rural lifestyle through the training of specialists capable of creating and developing high-tech agriculture. Acting Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University Vladimir Sitnikov reported on the priority areas of work and strategic projects of the university.
— The University is working on three strategic projects, driven by the objectives of ensuring technological sovereignty and the problems of import substitution. “Selection and genetics in crop production. Biologization of agriculture” aims to provide the agro-industrial complex with planting material and new varieties. By 2028, we must create 5 new high-yielding varieties and reach the production of 2 million seedlings annually. “Selection and genetics in animal husbandry” is aimed at developing the university as an All-Russian center for the preparation of control-assistant services. We plan to train 1,200 specialists and evaluate at least 94,000 breeding cows in the South of Russia. “Sustainable Development of Rural Territories” is aimed at the formation of Stavropol State Agrarian University as a resource center for the development of rural areas, - he said.
Based on the current and future needs of the socio-economic complex of the Stavropol Territory, 23 laboratories and 5 new centers with leading agro-industrial complex enterprises have been created and updated within the framework of the program. Agricultural enterprises trust the scientific competencies of SSAU. Order for research and development has increased over this period by 30%.
