Acting Rector Vladimir Sitnikov appreciated the new equipment of the educational and scientific testing laboratory of SSAU

As part of the implementation of the grant of the federal program “Priority-2030”, modern innovative equipment was purchased for the educational and scientific testing laboratory of Stavropol State Agrarian University. Vladimir Sitnikov personally got acquainted with the work of the structural unit and the new equipment. The tour for the acting rector was conducted by the head of the educational and scientific testing laboratory Tatyana Li.

Since 1999, UNIL began its activities as a technically competent and independent company in determining the quality and safety of crop and livestock products in 14 areas. The inter-faculty laboratory is equipped with modern equipment, measuring equipment, methodological materials that allow conducting scientific, contractual research, performing various tests, as well as carrying out educational and consulting activities. The laboratory also interacts with agricultural enterprises of the Stavropol region, individual entrepreneurs, individuals, production cooperatives and certification bodies. In January 2020, UNIL successfully passed the competence confirmation procedure with the expansion of the scope of accreditation in accordance with GOST ISO / IEC 17025-2019 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories” in 39 areas.

As part of the Priority 2030 Federal Program, new innovative equipment was purchased for the educational and scientific testing laboratory: a protein and nitrogen analyzer using the Kjeldahl method, a semi-automatic apparatus for determining fat using the Soxhlet method, a liquid chromatograph, an atomic absorption spectrometer for determining the toxicity of elements, a spectrometer for the determination of radionuclides (cesium 137, strontium 90), etc. The latest equipment and high professionalism of employees allow us to conduct research on the safety and quality of food products, food raw materials, soil and fertilizers.

“Today, the material and technical base of the university is one of the best in the South of Russia: we have created all the necessary conditions for the training of highly qualified specialists. The development of an educational and scientific testing laboratory is the next stage in the scientific and practical activities of the university, which will contribute to the development of improving the quality of life in the Stavropol Territory and the entire North Caucasus Federal District”, - said Vladimir Sitnikov, Acting Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University.
