An interactive practical event with the participation of a hotel business specialist took place at the Faculty of Socio-Cultural Service and Tourism. The meeting was the beginning of a series of events with representatives of specialized organizations of the hotel business.
The participants of the event were students of the areas of training "Hotel business", "Service of hotel and restaurant, sports, entertainment complexes" and "Tour operator and travel agency activities". The speaker was Victoria Igorevna Salpuk, a practitioner with experience as a marketing assistant at the Aquamarine Resort&SPA 5* hotel and a guest agent at the Mriya Resort&SPA 5* hotel.
The students learned about the peculiarities of the development of high-quality hotel business in Crimea on the example of "Aquamarine Resort&SPA 5*", Sevastopol and "Mriya Resort&SPA 5*", Yalta, as well as about the experience of working in front office and back office in 5* hotels and VIP guest service standards.
The expert prepared the most vivid examples of stressful situations that she encountered during her work and successfully solved them for guests and the hotel. Situational tasks allowed students to be smart and offer their own behaviors.
— The planned series of events with representatives of specialized organizations of the hotel business provides for the transfer of practical professional experience to students in order to form professional competencies of educational programs. The events will allow taking into account new modern trends in the preparation of students for successful work in the specialty, — said the Dean of the Faculty of Socio-Cultural Service and Tourism, Head of the Department of Tourism and Service, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Anna Ivolga.
