Vladimir Sitnikov held the Academic Council of SSAU

On March 2, the next Academic Council was held at the Stavropol State Agrarian University. The central topics were the directions of the further work of the university and cooperation with leading scientific centers of Russia.

By tradition, the Academic Council began with a solemn part. Acting Rector of SSAU Vladimir Sitnikov awarded the head of the Scientific and Innovative Training Center, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Sergey Nikolayevich Antonov with the medal "For Valiant Labor of the III degree". The award was approved by the Decree of the Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov.

In addition, the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Biotechnology, Professor Valentin Skripkin, was awarded a diploma confirming the degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences, awarded by order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

As part of the main report of the Acting Rector, Vladimir Sitnikov outlined the strategic directions of the university's work in the near future: the implementation of the Priority 2030 program, interaction with agro-industrial partners, and career guidance. The rector also spoke about the cooperation of SSAU with leading Russian research centers — the Innopraktika Development Institute, the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry.

– At the last Academic Council, we identified the urgent need for the university to go beyond the external perimeter in educational and scientific activities. Our main task was to build interaction with scientific centers of Russia for the implementation of strategic directions. I have repeatedly said that the key to solving economic problems and the key to the technological sovereignty of the country lies in fundamental research, especially in the field of genetics and breeding. We held meetings with the leadership of the Kurchatov Institute, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, the key scientific centers of the country. Interaction with them will provide a new qualitative level of research work through the creation of mirror laboratories, network educational programs and other forms of interaction,” said Vladimir Sitnikov, Acting Rector of SSAU.

Also, during the Academic Council, elections were held for a number of positions. According to the voting results, Olga Lisova was elected to the post of Director of the Institute of Additional Professional Education. For the post of head of the department of pedagogy of psychology and sociology - Svetlana Tarasova.
