A SSAU employee was named Woman of the Year

The Stavropol Palace of Culture and Sport hosted the finals of the city's Woman of the Year competition.

In 2023, the Stavropol City Woman of the Year competition was held for the 25th anniversary year. More than 60 female participants, who had achieved success in various spheres: profession, social life, and raising children, reached the finals. Girls competed in 3 categories: "Successful Youth", "Woman - the Keeper of the Family" and "Woman in Height".
The contestants included students, staff and teachers from the Stavropol State Agrarian University:

- Alena Ozheredova - Associate Professor at the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology, Ph;

- Yulia Grechishkina - Professor, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences;

- Yana Avagyan - Head of Educational Activities and Support of Student Initiatives;

- Elizaveta Kalandia - Faculty of Economics;

- Anastasia Voronicheva - Secondary Vocational Education Department;

- Vlada Tyrsikova - Faculty of Socio-Cultural Service and Tourism;

- Fatima Shidakova - Faculty of Electricity.

Yana Avakian was the winner in the "Successful Youth" category at the end of the competition.

— I thank the university from the bottom of my heart for its endless support of both students and teachers in different areas and in different manifestations. It seems to me that no university cares and supports its staff and students as much as Stavropol State Agrarian University," said Yana Avakyan, Head of the Department of Educational Activities and Support of Student Initiatives.

After the awards ceremony, Vladimir Sitnikov, Acting Rector of SSAU, met with the contestants and thanked them for their excellent results.

— I am infinitely happy to see such motivated, intelligent and talented girls in our team, who do what they love and have an active approach to life," said Vladimir Sitnikov.
