The fertilizer allows you to increase the productivity of the plant by 11% and the quality of oilseeds by 4%. Scientific development is the result of the work of the staff of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources, headed by the Dean, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Alexander Esaulko.
The new product was developed on the basis of organic mineral components: boric acid, iron sulfate, manganese sulfate, zinc sulfate, magnesium sulfate, as well as orthophosphoric acid and lignohumate. When treating sunflower with a preparation based on these meso- and microelements, scientists from the Stavropol State Agrarian University were able to increase the productivity of the plant. Specifically, yields increased by more than 11% and crude fat and fat-like substances increased by more than 4%.
To introduce nutrients, scientists used the technology of foliar feeding, when a solution of the drug is applied to the surface of the leaves. This method improves the process of photosynthesis, provides faster vegetative growth and stable development of plants.
— Using the experimental method, we managed to find a balanced composition and ratio of key nutrients that affect all the necessary development processes and create favorable conditions for the growth of sunflower, — said the head of the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor Evgeny Golosnoy.
Another important advantage of the created product is its cost-effectiveness: the consumption of the drug is only a few hundred grams per hectare. This can significantly reduce the costs of farmers and increase the economic efficiency of crop production.
- Sunflower is one of the strategic components of the export of the agro-industrial complex of the Stavropol Territory. The share of oil and fat products on average is a tenth of the total food exports. And the geography of deliveries of sunflower oil from our manufacturers today includes about 20 countries of near and far abroad,” commented Vladimir Sitnikov, Acting Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.
The new development has already been patented. Its approbation took place on the fields of the Novoaleksandrovsky district
