The contest of teaching skills of Stavropol Agrarian University, dedicated to the celebration of the Year of the Teacher and Mentor in the Russian Federation, was held for the first time at the regional level. Representatives of 11 educational institutions of Stavropol gathered in the SSAU to demonstrate their teaching skills.
The Pedagogical Debut competition has been held at Stavropol Agrarian University since 2021 on the initiative of Oksana Gavrilova, Dean of the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education, in order to maintain the motivation of employees in the effective construction and development of their professional careers, support pedagogical innovations, creativity, initiative, increase the social status of young teachers and the prestige of their profession. The competition included a number of tests, including open classes and master classes. The jury evaluated the level of preparation of the lesson, the material, the confidence and creativity of the lecturer.
In 2023, by the decision of the Rector of the university Vladimir Sitnikov, the event went beyond the university and became a regional competition for teachers of secondary vocational education "Pedagogical talents of Stavropol-2023" within the framework of the federal project "Professionalism", the program "Priority 2030", the regional championship "Professionals". The competition includes 2 nominations: 14 teachers will compete for the title of the best "Teacher-mentor", and 10 young specialists will compete for the victory in the "Pedagogical Debut" nomination.
