Stavropol State Agrarian University for the 3rd time became the venue for the regional stage of the All-Russian competition "Big Challenges". The event was organized jointly with the centers "Sirius", "Poisk" and "Leader".
"Big Challenges" is an all-Russian competition of scientific and technological projects for high school students and students of secondary vocational education who are engaged in scientific or research activities. The purpose of the competition is to identify and develop young people's creative abilities, interest in design, scientific, engineering, inventive and creative activities, popularization of scientific knowledge and achievements.
The main work of the regional site of the competition was held on the basis of the Advanced Professional Training Center. 73 participants from all over the Stavropol Territory presented projects in 7 areas:
• Agro-industrial and biotechnologies;
• Unmanned vehicles and logistics systems;
• Genetics, personalized and predictive medicine;
• Cognitive research;
• New materials;
• Modern energy;
• Smart city and security.
According to the results of the jury's evaluations, 40 participants became winners of the regional stage, the rest were recognized as winners, but they will also be able to present their research at the final stage in Sochi.
