The district conference "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood" has started at the North Caucasian Federal University. Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by the staff of the Department of Philosophy.
At the end of January 2023, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin instructed the Ministry of Education and Science to develop and include the course "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood" in higher education programs. As a result, it is planned to form and transmit to the younger generation the basic national values. From September 1, the course "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood" will be taught at all universities in the country. The project is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation together with partners: the Russian society "Knowledge" and ANO "Dialog". At the plenary session of the conference, topical issues of worldview formation and the role of higher education in this process were discussed. Scientists, specialists and practitioners will have a large-scale group work to develop proposals.
The conference is attended by lecturers of higher education in the North Caucasus and leading Russian universities, experts in philosophy, sociology, history, ethnology, political science and other humanitarian disciplines. Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by the Department of Philosophy and History, headed by the head of the department, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Evgeny Tufanov and Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Inna Karpenko.
During the conference, experts will work on the thematic content of the sections of the course "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood". It is assumed that the discipline will be designed for 72 hours and divided into five blocks: “What is Russia”, “The Russian state is civilization”, “Russian worldview and value constants of Russian civilization”, “Political structure of Russia”, “Challenges of the future and development of the country ".
