Future livestock specialists got acquainted with the process of sheep lambing

For students in the specialty "Zootechny" an exit lesson was held at the APC "Plemzavod Vtoraya Pyatiletka" of the Ipatovsky district for a sheep lambing company.

As part of the study of the module "Performance of work in the working profession of a livestock breeder", students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the SSAU under the guidance of the head of the basic department of private animal husbandry, selection and breeding of animals, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Evgeny Chernobay and Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Ismail Ismailov, students visited the APC "Plemzavod Vtoraya Pyatiletka".

For students, a meeting was organized with the head of the farm, chairman Igor Serdyukov, who is also an honorary professor at the SSAU. He focused on the importance of training mid- and senior-level livestock specialists for agricultural enterprises. Chief livestock specialist Mukhtar Idrisov and livestock breeder Dmitry Zlenko spoke about the activities of the farm and the importance of obtaining the necessary competencies for students in the livestock industries, especially highlighted the importance of holding such a company as sheep lambing.

The students visited the mother flock, where lambing is currently taking place. The teachers told the students the technology of lambing on a sheep farm and the formation of sakmans. The farm's specialists and shepherds answered the children's questions about the conditions of keeping and feeding. The chief livestock specialist told the story of the breeding of the Dzhalga Merino breed on the farm and the requirements for the productivity of sheep.
