SSAU students developed a university mobile application

The first intra-university Hackathon, a competition for developers, designers, analysts, marketers and other IT professionals, has ended at Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The first intra-university Hackathon was attended by 37 students, who acted as part of 12 faculty and inter-faculty teams. During the competition, the participants had to develop a prototype of a useful application for smartphones, which contains important information for student life about the class schedule, the latest university news, the schedule of extracurricular activities and other activities.

The expert jury included specialists from Infocom-S and SmartyCODE, who evaluated application ideas, design, as well as project implementation and presentation.

According to the results of the competition, the places were distributed as follows:

1st place — ITres team with the SSAU Career Environment application

2nd place - DreamTeam with the application "Agrarian + Bot" Kolosok "

3rd place - the team "Danya and 3 progers" with the application "MySSAU"

A special nomination "People's Choice Award" was awarded to the Land Surveyor team with the "Agrostudent" application.

The application of the winning team will allow SSAU students to receive information about partner employers for choosing internships, internships and further employment.

- Each participant tried not only to win, but also to create a single convenient virtual environment of the university. The wave of digitalization has certainly overwhelmed our university. That is why today we need to create our own intra-university product. The main goal of the Hackathon has been fulfilled – work on a convenient mobile application for students and employees has begun,” commented Vladimir Sitnikov, Acting Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The organizers of the first intra-university Hackathon were the department of information technologies of SSAU, the faculty of secondary vocational education and the faculty of economics.

The sponsor of the competition was a long-standing strategic partner of the university - the Stavropol regional branch of Rosselkhozbank JSC.
