12 schoolchildren began to master the profession of “Welder of manual arc welding with a consumable coated electrode” within the framework of the “Schoolchildren’s First Profession” project.
Within the framework of the “Schoolchildren’s First Profession” project, schoolchildren can receive working specialties. Today, 12 schoolchildren have begun to master the profession of a welder of manual arc welding with a consumable coated electrode. Lectures are held on the digital platform of the TsOPP, and practical training takes place at Stavropol State Agrarian University, where students are engaged in modern Professionalism workshops equipped with welding equipment.
Schoolchildren have already familiarized themselves with the requirements of labor protection and safety in welding production, studied the classification of welding joints and tried for the first time to use electric welding.
Upon completion of the course, each student will be able to:
• prepare the edges of the material in accordance with the specifications and requirements of the drawings
• select and operate controls to minimize and correct deformations
• follow procedures to control heat supply
• weld by consumable covered electrode welding
• recognize defects in welds and correct them.
The project is being implemented by the Advanced Professional Training Center at Stavropol Agrarian University.
